Some may see our photo blogs as a deviation from our education focus. However, we feel that exploring and enjoying our natural world (and urban environments) is an essential part of education – for children and adults alike.
Regular readers will know we are committed to focusing our education on the development of all of the intelligences.
A walk in a park does just that.
Intellectually, we learn about plants and wildlife or the architecture of buildings.
Instinctually, we react to what we see – sometimes moving out the way as the animals go about their business.
Socially, we share our experiences with others – companions and strangers.
Personally, we recognise what excites or energises us.
Physically, our senses are stimulated and there are cardiovascular benefits if desired.
Spiritually, we enjoy the beauty, the awe and wonder – so wonderful for the soul.
Enjoy a selection of photos from Holland Park, London, on a cloudy but warm final day of March. Better still, go and enjoy the Kyoto Garden for yourself.
